Writers:  here are some great links with writing tips and suggestions for finding book blogs.  Plus, a few more gems for your reading enjoyment!

“Make Sure You Read a Lot of Books”:  Writing Rules from Zadie Smith- Zadie Smith, the famed British author, offers 10 practical tips for writers.  My favorite:  Work on a computer that is disconnected from the internet.  I always have trouble with that.  :)

How to Find Book Blogs to Follow- Looking for book recommendations?  My friend Julia wrote a great post explaining how she chooses book blogs to read and highlighting some awesome book bloggers for you to check out.

Women and Money:  Why You Need to Take Control Now- According to this article, more than one third of American women are now the family bread winner.  But, many women continue to neglect big-picture financial decisions, like planning for retirement or investing.  This article tackles the four biggest financial barriers that women face and offers practical steps for overcoming each barrier.

On Throwing Shade- Public school teachers in Chicago were recently on strike.  Some judgmental jerk on twitter got all upset because one of the protesting teachers had a designer purse.  This is one blogger’s response to the drama- stop making assumptions about others and treat teachers with more respect.  Amen to that.
